HDV
HDV : a tribute to skate legacy
Paying tribute to the skate scene, so rich and talented, during
the Festival of Lights, is an old dream.
Highlighting outstanding figures such as Jérémie Daclin,
Jean-Baptiste Gillet and Aurélien Giraud has naturally made a
mark: each one, in their own way, has marked this place and
contributed to the international influence of skateboarding.
Finally, the photos integrated into the logo testify to the
memory of the place and its practitioners. They also pay
tribute to the work of photographers and filmmakers (Fred
Mortagne, Olivier Chassignole, Loïc Benoit…) who were able
to sublimate this practice.
More broadly, it is an opportunity to shed light on a practice
between sport and art that has become essential in spheres
as diverse as the Olympic Games, fashion or social networks.
A place and its history
It is this journey through time, crossing three generations of skaters, that our three installations tell. Each one embodies an era, a technique, a way of practicing. Finally, the experience will be completed by an immersive soundtrack: board noises, squeaks of wheels, shocks against the stone – but also iconic musical excerpts from the skate VHS of the 90s and 2000s,
who, before the internet, were discovering new talents and inspiring an entire generation.
Thus, HDV reveals itself as a living heritage, a place of memory as much as a contemporary scene, where echoes of a universal culture in perpetual motion still resonate
2025.
